Visionscape partners foundation to reduce child cancer mortality
To eliminate cancer pandemic among youth in the country, particularly children, Visionscape Sanitation Solution, an environmental utility group, in partnership with Dorcas Cancer Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, is set to provide adequate treatment and medication for victims of the disease.
As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), the company also hoped to provide access to research for medical team handling such cases in the country.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to a children cancer ward in Lagos, Chief Executive Officer Visionscape, John Irvine explained that the volunteer scheme is one of the many ways the company is giving back to the society.
“The fight against child cancer is real and remains an important conversation, now more than ever. We support the global movement to reduce cancer mortality rate. We want these children and their loved ones to know that they are not alone in this fight; and that amid the battle, there is hope.
Our goal is to work with NGOs and other organizations to actively make a positive impact in the lives of every child living with cancer, so they can have a chance at brighter future.
We are excited to partner with the Dorcas Cancer Foundation and we look forward to helping these children have a healthy and sustainable support system,” he said.
